Hi Everyone: I have just ordered the new power commander V for my 07. I didn't get the optional auto tune, which comes with the wide band 02 sensors, because it was a couple of hundred more. However, the kit comes with 02 sensor simulators or whatever they are called.

So has anyone installed a PC V? are there any traps or pitfalls I should be aware of? What do you think of it? just trying to do some homework before I get it. I installed a PC3 on my SV1000S and it worked well.

Also, do you think I'd be better off to scrape up the additonal 200 for the Auto tune?

    Cheers
    John.

Ok, so nobody has done this mod, so I'll reply to myself! I did the mod on the weekend. Very easy, no big dea. All plugs are accessible, and the hardest one to get to is the two oxygen sensors, as you have to pull the left fairing to get them off.

The thing works very well! I am pleased. I did not see any smoothing out of the VTEC cut in, as others have suggested with a PCIII, but I didn't expect to see it anyway. That's not what this device does. I am used to the VTEC cut in rush.

The bike pulls away without having to slip the clutch, has more low rpm torque, and I find I can troll around in 3rd gear no without it chugging on me.

Acceleration is improved, and slow moving in traffic is a lot smoother.

I have been getting my power commanders online from Fuelmotousa.com Jamie there will do a super job for you, including mapping it and setting it up, email and phone tech help, and the price is very reasonable. I would highly recommend these guys.

    Cheers
    John.
