Three years ago this Wednesday, I lost 3 great friends. They died saving lives.
Do me a favor?
This Wednesday, pour one out for my buddies, would ya?
I don't care what it is you pour out. Just do it in remembrance of the crew of Mountain Lifeflight 3!

When the loss of these fine men occurred it was felt through the industry I work in. I think it was an understanding that people were lost that save our bacon from time to time and we were less safe with such a disaster. I was surprised at how many in my line of work took note when it happened but it only made sense later as we never know who is gonna come save us. God bless them all.

 

Having experienced a loss myself this past Monday, I will have no problem honoring the fallen.

It's Wednesday here now, I pretty much don't drink at all these days but there was a beer in the fridge so Ive ripped the top off... To your lost mates and to the mates I've lost in emergency services - bottoms up for unsung heroes...!!!

 

Okay if I have a cupcake with my beverage? Not wanting to make light of it, of course I will honor these individuals in the best way I can...

Addendum: on checking the fridge I discovered that the son had taken the last beer so a wine toast to the setting sun had to suffice.
