I have a 91 vfr, which I love. I just saw a pic of one on which the pipe was on the left side of the bike, instead of the right. As a result, you could really see the single sided open swingarm, and I kinda liked the way it looked. How is this done?

    Thanks!

I also have a gen 3 with the SSSA covered by the pipe! I would also like to know how hard it would be to change sides, and any negative effects it could have.

someone made a left side exhaust for 3rd gens, not sure what company and from what ive heard/read they are hard to come by. Now.. I went to my favorite muffler shop and they said they would make me a mid pipe, if it works out ill share the news and maybe a 3rd gen can swing down to the modeato area and have one made up that will fit 3rds. this is as far as ive gotten into it, i dontknow what else will be involved ( bracketry etc.) but it looks like it will happen at some point.

Hey guys, from another forum.......I'm not paying this kinda scratch!

There are two links, one to a left side exhaust system sold in england....it's at around 535 on ebay right now. The other link is to a guys page that talks about exhausts for our bikes....anyway, enjoy!

Left side pipe requires you to lose your centerstand if you have one. I almost bought a left side exhaust but use my centerstand too much so I ditched the idea.

Two Brothers use to make one (I've got two, ones a spare just incase), the only draw back is the loss of the center stand, but for me it was worth it. It sounds great, looks great, and lost a bunch of weight over the stock exhaust.

I am very happpy! I havent stopped grinnin since you sold it to me!

After seeing the other bikes with the pipe on the other side, I didnt know if it was a minor detail - like just unbolt, walk to the other side of the bike and rebolt.... I certainly wouldnt want to lose my center stand in the proccess.
The only mod I have scheduled for the future of my bike is to wash it and detail my nice white wheels!

I couldnt iimagine anyone that would trade the center stand for the other sided pipe. I am curious what the original thread starter thinks now that he knows about that detail?

Happy to oblige....my bike doesn't have a center stand! I'd love to find one, and if you know someone that has an extra, I'd be greatful if you'd point em my way!
