part number

    Does anybody know the part number for the speedometer sensor,the little plastic thingybob.dont know its correct name,Thanks

    Jim,the Honda part number for the speedo sensor for your '99 VFR800 is 37700-MBG-010.

    just looked up the price of the sensor and its extremely expensive,can i just buy the plastic bit,the reason i am asking is my speedo is reading consistently
    about 8mph under and someone suggested it could be this little plastic piece that wears out.Just had another look and found a part number for what i think is the right bit 4408-mr7-013,can anyone confirm this?

    Jim,the correct part number for just the speedo sensor drive gear for your '99 VFR800 is 44808-MR7-013.
