I have my mind made up between a bright red with black detailing or Jet black with some red striping. What do you think?

I'm still partial to the stock paint scheme on the 1st gen bikes. I think they get more recognition that way. Just my opinion though.

If I had my Druthers I would stay Stock colors if you could.... I will say though...On mine since the paint is a little week I have been half tempted to do a black and white paint job.... in the same style ast the red white and blue....

But for you the Black with red is screaming to me...LOL

I just noticed... You do know that you have the somewhat rare aftermarket fairing right? You bastard! LOL

I voted red with black accents. Just because it doesn't show every little swirl mark or scratch.

Go back to the original colors. Honda had it right back then. You will get many compliments for a correctly restored classic.

Here's where we're at now. I picked up the paint yesterday and hopefully will start painting soon. Going with Pearl red with black stripes and other black details. I was not one of the people that favored the stock paint, actually I'm the type of person that always has to have acustom paint job. I will post more once progress is achieved.

heres the red coat and some black where I need to mask the Honda logo. Next is the red on the lower fairing and then the black stripes will get taped out and sprayed.

Wow, remindes me of my bike. But I can't get the damn thing working. Gotta hate that dual over head cam timing.

looks pretty good so far Bryan... I am still getting the engine and other stuff sorted out on my 84 also, Konrad. The paint will be a long way off. I may be applying for an extension on my street legal inspection at the DMV as I only have a few weeks left.

Looks like it's tool late but the Euro scheme from the 1st gen has always been my favorite.
