    Yeah.. that was ODOT playing around on the switchback portion. Kind of annoying. Had a flagger out, didnt really get to "ride" that portion until the way back when they had packed up.

    We usually leave Spray early in the morining and bactrack to Fossil, then Antelope, Shaniko, then wherever. Last time I was there was last June, I think. I go there every year, sometimes multiple times.

    My usual route out there is to start in Estacada, run clackamas river down to 42/Skyline up to 26. Either head to 216 directly, or use Cedar Burn to connect with NF 48 and run through Tygh Valley. From Maupin take Bake Oven, get you right outside Shaniko.
