Typically the weather in Nebraska runs sub-zero this time of year. However, with the extremely mild winter we've had here and the fact mercury might sniff 50 this week-I'm getting really itchy already. In Mid-January we had a day of 65 degrees, and there were bikes all over the road. I just have safety concerns with the sand/salt that has been laid and like to wait until the roads get clear, especially in town. Leaving Sunny San Diego for back home in the Midwest, it's been a tough trade. That's why I haven't checked in all winter; I get bummed enough every time I pull into the garage and see my baby on her center stand, plugged into the trickle charger. I rotate the front tire weekly just to get close to her... Any other Nebraska/Iowa/Kansas/SD folks feeling the same way? Perhaps we make a tentative plan to rally someplace for a first "legit" ride of the year? Loess Hills Scenic Byway is a great ride, could be a meeting point for everyone... Cheers, Sweet.
