This has nothing to do with motorcycles but I had a freaking awesome time. Anyone who has the means should. Another thing I noticed in Germany was the SW Mototech is the best method for attaching side cases to a VFR. This system is great. Check their website for more info. http://www.mo-tech.de/hersteller/honda_VFR800_23.html I also started this thread to file something under the WTF, OVER!?!? column. If I didn't see it with my own eyes, I wouldn't believe it. If I didn't take a picture most others probably wouldn't believe it either. Yes, that is a Hayabusa with a side-car. KC-10 FE out... lane:
How was your deployment? I had asked on a previous post of yours about poor service but I think it got lost in all the posts. Did you fly commercial over there or did you get Uncle Sugar to fly you over there under the guise of "training"? I leave for another 8 month OEF rotation on Monday just after the Pope Air Show. In fact, that was the only thing that kept me from leaving this weekend. Cheers....
My most recent deployment was the worst I've ever been on for a number of reasons. #1 on that list, it was during the peak of the summer. When I go, I always go on a USAF mission. I did have a Scorpion. It's now comfortably resting on the right side of the Hawk GT. I found a mint/perfect condition Staintune for sale on this site so I figured after griping about not buying one for 7 years, I simply bought it. I should have never waited this long. A VFR with a Staintune attached to it is simply music. KC-10 FE out... lane:
Next time you come to Germany, let me know. I'm still @ Spangdahlem, and enjoying it, except for the crap summer we had this year...There are some really good roads to ride up this way. Spa-Francorchamps is 50 min away, and Nurburgring is 45 minutes away.
My Wife's parents live about 45 minutes from Spang. I was on the base on 3 Oct. I would sell my left arm to be stationed in Germany again. KC-10 FE out... lane:
