Noise neutral clutch released.

    To start im a newbie here, so hi to all u vfr fans. Just bought myself a 2002 vfr 800. Got a pretty noticable rattle when clutch released neutral, noise goes away clutch pulled. Normal? Clutch basket? Got appointment next week at garage. Thanks for infos

    It is propably the clutch basket, not much you can do, and not much of a problem.
    It can be like that for years without any issues. Just normal wear.
    If its the thrust bearing, you will feel it a bit on the clutch lever.

    In many cases a proper throttle plate alignment (synch) will minimize or eliminate that problem.
