Hey guys. New to the forum, but not completly new to VFR's. My first motorcycle was a 1985 700 Interceptor that I bought in 1999 at the ripe old age of 18! I had it for about a year and really enjoyed the bike, then I sold it to buy an 87 750 Interceptor. Had it for 3 years before trading it in on a 1 year old pre-owned 2002 ZX-6 Ninja.

I currently do not have a bike and that is why I am here now! I have been looking at bike over the last few months again and no matter what I look at....ZX10's, FZ1's, etc I keep thinking back to my good 'ol VFR's I used to have. So I have decided that is what I am going to start looking for again, Probably 96 or 97 models for me as I am wanting to keep the price down. Not many for sale around the midwest unfortunately!

So that is my brief story and I am looking forward to Snooping around the site and hopefully in not too long of a period posting some pics of my new bike whenever I find it!

I like VFR's to but my buddys FZ1 is soooo much faster, but he is a jerk so I wouldnt buy one of those, I'm still lokking for the right bike myself. My cuzin just got a VFR and he's a cool guy so I want one to, I already have a helmet so im getting closer to getting a bike, but i want it match my helmet witch is purple.

My brother has a 2002 FZ1 that is what got me really looking at bikes again. But there is just something about the v4's that I enjoy sooo much more! I love the sound and torque of the V's far more then the high revs of inline 4's. The only other bike I have been thinking aobut is a superhawk posibly.

One of my riding buddys had a ZX-6 and we got some pretty good trips. I had my 4 gen back then. He could eke me out in the straits, but in the twists the bikes were pretty even.

Super Hawks are pretty cool too, but there not really a longer range bike. You get about 110 - 120 miles a tank.

    Good luck on your search.
