Hey, this is Steve in Atlanta, just getting back into bikes after a few years away from them. Was thinking about getting an ST1300 but have decided to get a VFR instead. I have the chance to buy either an 05 or 06 new. I'm looking for some advice on the change in the rpm change of the vtec which is better to go with or if it's just personal preference. Would appreciate any options and hope to find some local people to ride with. Thanks Steve

Hi Steve. Welcome to the group. I am not sure I am understanding what you mean by rpm change. the VTEC kick in about 7000 rpm. basically, its just the other half of the valves kicking in.

Hey, I realize that, but they lowered the rpm for 06 for when the valves open up. They said it smoothed out the transition, I was just wondering if theres that big a difference or just what you get use too. Thanks Steve
