    hi, my name is mike but everybody calls me mink (long story) new to this forum,but i do own both a 500 and a 750 interceptor. one is a 84 the other is a 86. not local but from newfoundland ca. my vf 500 wont start, gas in carbs, spark on plugs battery up, turns over fine. any ideas would help. thanks in advance mink

    As far as your bike, we'd need a little more detailed info before we could offer sound advice. what exactly is it doing?

    When did the bike last run?

    How old is the fuel?

    Any rust in the tank?

    newbe with 1986 vf500 starting problems

    hi guys and gals mink again put new fuel in tank. new plugs, plenty of spark gas going into carbs but still not starting, any suggestions. thanks in advance mink

    ok theres fuel in the float bowls and there is spark to the plugs right?

    and still no start?..

    when i drain down the carbs, plenty of fuel. remove the plugs they are completely dry, wont even ignite with a match . help

    the plugs are dry.. they arent soaked from fuel after you try to crank it.
    i'd say your not getting fuel into the cylinders
