    Hello All,

I am living in the Uk and have today shaken hands with a guy to get my hands on a 2001 model VFR800 Fi. It is reasonably good condition but needs a little cleaning up and work. The current owner managed to have a slide avoiding an accident but also managed to cause a few scrapes on the bike and now it needs a few things doing to it.

So far, the ride I have had on it is brilliant. So smooth and when you hit 6500rpm it all changes. Fantastic is the word I was looking for...

Anyhow, to cut to the chase, I am trying to find a rear tail light for the bike. The new ones here in the UK are £240 which seems a bit excessive...

I look forward to learning more about the bike from this forum and am sure will be glad I joined.

    Cheers

congrats on the bike. if you're anyting like the rest of us, your friends will think you're stark, raving mad when you talk about your bike. just kidding...maybe. anyway, the first place I look for parts is ebay, but I always check the feedback. bikebandit (who advertises on this site) seems to have a pretty comprehiensive site for parts. www.bikebandit.com

Hi Mike. Congrats on the new toy and welcome to our growing group of VFR owner/lovers. Reg is correct. Keep an eye on ebay and be sure to check the feedback on the seller. Bike Bandit is a good source for parts, both OEM and aftermarket. I have made a number of purchases from them with no hassles at all, tho one time the parts were on back order andit took a about a week longer to get the part. ;-) Also, Parts411.com has some accessories as well. You might even try Dennis Kirk.com. In our links section there are other vendors listed as well.
Welcome again and ejoy your Viffer!

Edit: Just looked at Parts411.com and they do not have an applicatoin for a VFR, :frown:
