Hey everyone. I just bought an 85 VF1000R from a buddy of mine at work. I'm not new to the "project rebuild" world, but this one looks like it might take a little more time than I anticipated.

I just recently rebuilt a 99 Yamaha FZR600 in which I still have to get the frame powdercoated. Other than that, it's a complete rebuild. I had a lot of help from the guys at fzrarchives.com That's why I searched for a forum for the VF. If I can get the same amount of help/assistance from you guys, this should be a good time.

I look forward to talking to a bunch of you guys and I'll post some pics as soon as I can.

    OUT

Did you get the one with the Comstar wheels? If I look in the archive, I may have a dealer brochure.

Welcome to the group. I am sure there are a couple of knowledgeable people for the VF1000 here who can answer your questions. Can't wait to see some pics.
