Well Ive been looking for a forum for the vfr for a while now. I`m glad to have found one. I ride a 1984 vfr500, I own two... The first one I bought from a friend for $500 and it sat for 2 years while I was out of the country. When I got home it was missing the key, blinkers were busted off and it had a bad oild leak comming from the waterpump of all places ( if people request, I can do a small write up on my experiences with that problem) anyway to make a long story short I bought another one with lower miles for $250, only it had bad carbs...So I mixed and matched and this is what I have now, everything is a work in progress though...Kinda goin for the Rat bike/Mad Max look. Glad to be here.

Welcoem to the group. looks like your are off to a good start on fixing it up. Are you going to paint it back to the original color or leave the mad max look?

To the dismay of all those around me...I tend to stick with flat colors. I`m keepin it this way. The next thing im gettin rid of is that plastic mud fender, as soon as I get clean registration, I will probally put the plate on a bracket off the rear caliper.
