I am new to the site as well as the VFR world. I picked up my 06 VFR last week and could not be happier, except for the seat. Looking at the Corbin and Seargant seats as a replacement.

Welcome Steve. The sargent is pretty nice. I haven't tried the corbin. I like the way mine is 2 piece (I have a 5th gen bike). It gives me storage undertail if I'm running just the front piece with the cowl. Try the vfrmailing list for msgs also as I think I read someone with 6th gen had contacted corbin about bad fit with cowl and seat and they said yes it fits bad but it's the best we could do. also some issues about customer service. Again, I have only had the sargent with my VFR so cannot comment directly on corbin's support/fit/etc.
