Hi I'm new to this forum thingy,
I've had my VFR1200 (my first )for 11 months now & I've just had the 8000 mile service done, so far I've had two new rear shock's ( the adjuster keeps ceasing ) & a set of front discs as they had warped (all done under warranty). I was wondering if any of you guys have had similar problems.

Advice: never buy the first year of any new bike model as the upgrades, improvements, and fixes to the problems usually come after 2-3 years.

As a first bike a VFR 1200??? Krikey, guvna, but you do have self-confidence in copious abundance !!

When I took the vfr to the Honda dealership for them to look at the problem with the rear shock they checked 3 of the 4 vfr demonstrators they have & they suffered from the same problem it's not really an issue for me as the dealership i buy my bikes from are brilliant, the paint on the exhaust of my 08 fireblade started to flake 6 months after i bought it they just replaced the exhaust under warranty & have just done the same again even though the bike is now 3 years old & has 21000 miles on the clock

Nice looking pair of bikes there, welcome to the site. It's generally civil but there are a few cantankerous old farts around...
