Hi, my name is Ken, and I'm a bike addict.

    or something like that.

Current ride is a '08 Flat Black Suzuki V-Strom 650. Sorry, I said a bad word. Previous bikes are: Honda GL500, Kawasaki Concours, '04 V-Strom, Honda GL1800, Suzuki DRZ400-SM, Aprillia Tuono. I've ridden something over 100K miles since getting endorsed in late 2001, including a couple of Iron Butt Rallies ('03 on the GL500 & '07 on the GL1800). I'm currently part of the Great Unemployed, going to college for the first time at 50 years of age, and making a major career change. But back to bikes...

I'm going to look at a gen 5 ('01) tomorrow. I've lusted after VFR's since back when I was riding the GL500 and a good friend had a Gen 4 750. I don't know why I've never bought one - except maybe I thought they were expensive. Not that the GL1800 (bought new) or the Tuono (bought used) were cheep....

I have a very understanding wife. Despite being unemployed, she is OK with me buying another bike. I sold the Oh-No! last Summer, and have missed having a 'fun' bike. The Wee is a great bike, and does a lot very well. Soul stirring it is not however. Between the house, me being unemployed and going to school, we got a very nice tax return, and I've got all the credit cards paid off, so she gave me the green light. Well, withing a certain budget anyway. :thumb:
