    Hello,
Frist off great website. I just purchaced a 2k yellow vfr w/10k miles. I think i got a awesome deal for the price(3500.) I went for a ride 200 mile ride yesterday and i have to say im in love with the thing. I had bought a 87vfr a month ago and i do like that bike but it doesnt even compare. Now my question is i need to get it serviced and i need to find a awsome mechanic who knows what their doing. I dont really have any history on the thing so im going to do alot of the service thats stated in the owners manual. i dont think the guy sold it to me did anything to the bike throughtout his ownership. I rode off after the purchace with the tires being below 5psi in the rear and the below 10psi in the front. The oil was also super dirty. Any help in finding a good mechanic will help i live in southern california.

    thanks,
    Jason

wow, that is a good deal, but you are definitely right that you need to get some routine maintenance done. I live in the central coast so I can't help you with a mech, but I think there are a couple members around SD that might know someone. try the member map and see who you can find...

Yep - that is an awesome deal. I bought my Yellow 2k VFR for $3500.00 last December and yeah it is a great deal. Enjoy - it is a great bike!!! Welcome to the 5th GEN Brotherhood. Got any pics - check the gallery for pics of my VFR. The funny thing about the 5th gen is as much as I truly love the bike, I would like to have a 4th Gen VFR (preferably a 1997) as a track bike. Maybe next year!!!
