Well, my boat sold today which has been sitting for
    about a month without touching water:rolleyes: ..

I put an offer on a VFR that I found on Ebay that
didn't sell I feel is a nice clean well taken care of
bike. I suppose it has high miles but I feel as any
Honda its good for MANY miles. This is a link to
    the new baby.

If any of you have any tips, hints, or anything I should know
    please post. Thanks gang.

The guy I bought my bike from asked a Honda engineer who worked on the Gen 6 bikes about brake in periods. The Honda engineer laughed and said the engine doesn't even really loosen up until about 25,000 miles..

The one you're looking at is a Gen 5, so I don't think it has the ceramic infused cylinders or hard lubed pistons, but still, it's a Honda :)

I had a 87 Hurricane and have a 83 Nighthawk and both are super reliable. The Nighthawk had stator shorted, but once that's replaced it'll be back on the road.

That looks like a sweet bike.

    Good luck!

She sure has taken care of it, and I love the way she describes it, and she really paid some money for the paint job. I'm not a expert on the going rate for a 4th generation VFR, sorry I can't be of any help, but the miles wouldn't scare me from this particular seller.

she's gonna have to reevaluate her reserve price I guess. Sure looks like a nice bike. custom paint looks good to me, but it really doesn't add much to value if someone else chose the custom paint... It's more than I paid for a 98 with more goodies...

My offer was accepted at 3800, does that seem like
    a good deal?
