I have an '07 VFR and the fan motor is dead. It is at the dealership and they say that the fan is on backorder with not eta when it will be available. Does anybody know where I might be able to order a fan?

How was it confirmed that the fan motor was shot? Were the leads shorted to test? Was the fan relay tested? How about the fuse (if there is one...)???

Did the bearings in the fan just seize up? Seems like an odd failure for such a new bike... Does it live outside???

I am not sure how they tested it but they said that motor was burned up. I had a wiring harness come lose a couple weeks ago that lead to exposed wires and fuses blowing. I was thinking that might have caused it. They said that it might have gotten a rock caught in it and kept it from moving. I had the misfortune of finding highway construction that shot rock all over the bike and me.

ask for your parts back from the dealer to CONFIRM that they were bad
