I wanted to know the same thing . I already have a new set of standard NGK DPR9EA-9 in my 86 VF500F . My new Iridiums are supposed to be here in the morning . So soon after I"ll post an update . The NGK Iridium part N# for the 1984 - 85 VF500F is DPR8EIX-9 or 2202 and for the 1986 VF500F NGK Iridium part N# is DPR9EIX-9 or 5545 .

The cost of the standard plugs were $1.99 each , the Iridium plugs cost me $7.99 each . Maybe this will help you or others with the part N#"s .

It's an economic choice, but you get the same results from either plug, a spark.

Not sure if it would apply to VFRs but the Iridiums work not so well on SOHC CB750s, a lot of instances of people getting crappy performance from them on the forum.
I run Densos on all my bikes and they are way better than the NGK counterparts I used in the past.
