Greetings, Just joined VFRworld and wanted to introduce myself. My name is Scott Janney and I'm located in Midvale UT. I've included a few pictures of the Lead Sled, hope I've attached them correctly. It's an '84 VF700f purchased new in 85 when I was 25... Damn! guess that kind of dates me! Have been lucky that everywhere I've lived, I've always been able to garage the bike. It's mostly stock except for a Hole Shot top end oiler. Although mostly used as a work commuter during the riding season (all my riding buddies gave up there rides long ago when they got married, I've been solo ever since), I'm hoping to get it out on some local day trips this summer. My girlfriend loves it so should be doable. I haven't had much of a chance to look around the site yet (will grab myself a beer and do that after I've sent this) but it looks like a very well laid out and informative site. I'm looking forward to getting familiar with it. Ummm, did I mention beer?..... I better go. Take care Scott
Welcome Scott from Utah. That's quite an accomplishment keeping your bike in such great condition all these years. How many miles on her? I wish now I had hung on to some of the bikes I rode in the '80s
Lets see here now. He is what 52 years old give or take. He looks after his stuff. He has a VFR, a girlfriend and likes beer. Not only that, he did not have to be reminded to POST UP. He should fit in here just dandy. Welcome to the site Scott.
Really warms my heart to see those old VF700F's in such good condition and still out on the road racking up the miles. She's a beauty Scott. :welcome: Hey did I hear somebody mention beer?
