Congrats on your VFR and welcome to the forum!

Thieves suck ass. If someone stole my VFR, he'd have to pray the police found him before I did.

Can't imagine a 5th gen VFR is a hugely popular target in Grand Forks, ND. What happened?

    Welcome to the world.
Hey that sucks about your 00 getting re-distributed. If it’s not too painful…Let us know what not to do.

TimRav: I actually just moved here, was stolen in Tucson, AZ. Someone is probably enjoying riding it in Mexico right now.

Rhinoward: Here it goes, I was young and stupid, even though I am still young I am not as stupid. At the time I was a mechanic at a local auto shop in Tucson, this guy came up to the shop and asked whose bike it was. I told him it was mine and he asked if it was for sale, and I said NO. He insisted and said he'd been looking for one for some time, seemed like a nice guy. I finally said well I suppose for the right price anything is for sale. So he asked to take it for a test drive (you can see where this is going). I said not without your wallet and keys to your car. So he took off, 5 min....................10 min................30 min.............I said to myself, that a-hole isn't coming back. But then I remembered I have his wallet and car. Turns out the car was stolen the night before, the wallet belonged to the guy that owned that stolen car, I DIDN'T EVEN LOOK AT THE DRIVERS LICENSE TO SEE IF THE PICTURE MATCHED!! I had just moved from North Dakota to Tucson, AZ. Growing up in the midwest I learned to trust, 4 years in Tucson I learned NOT to trust. So that is what not to do, now let the laughing begin...............

What an amazing story. It makes real glad that i dont live in the U.S. although in these tough economic times that scenario could be repeated probably anywhere in the world right now.The onty thing here is we a such a small country the perpetrator might run out of places to hide fairly quickly.I guess saying good luck in recovering your beast sounds a bit hollow, but good luck anyway.

    Pete:confused:
