Joined this morning. Recently purchased a 99' VFR. It's not exactly riding weather in Oregon right now but I managed to get a few hours in over the weekend and loved it. Except for the few things that need changing...lol. Seat, bars and the ugliest pegs ever put on a sport bike...lol. I think they are meant for a Boulevard or something similar. I hope to learn some things here. Sources for reasonably priced pegs would be great and preferred brands for things like bar risers, levers, etc. Thanks! Willa

The welcoming committee will be in touch soon, first thing is to post some pictures ASAP, or you are going to get razzed. Icon in menu bar for inserting photos, just mouse over, you'll find it.

Enjoy your new ride, I bought a package of four pegs on fleabay for $40+, but you have to use Locktite on peg, because the screw onto mount.
View attachment 25433 Note, this is a photo of peg AND lowering block. Double click on photo to make larger.

Welcome. Oregon for sure has some of the nicest riding roads around. Will likely be through this May and again in September with a group I ride with often. Hope you are not one of those poor fools who lives in Portfuggenland.

Welcome this is a great site for everything VFR. Right off I gotta disagree with you though ...you said, "(i)t's not exactly riding weather in Oregon right now." You are in Southern Oregon!...every day is a riding day!

Well Fitz this is true for many I suppose. I could get the heated gear on, the insulated boots, balaklava and all that but honestly that's just not as much fun. I'll do my chores now so I can ride every warm day in the coming season :~) Finishing the garage this weekend...more room! More bikes!

Where are you at in Southern Oregon? With your BMW and Triumph past you may be a Hansen regular?

That is a pretty sweet looking ride. From what I can see of the photo, the previous owner(s) took some pride in keeping it ship shape. As far as ugly foot pegs, to be honest, I have never given that a thought. They are just there to rest my feet. The rubber on mine is starting to wear downs, so I may look at that closer when the time comes though.

Thanks! The corbin seat is going, will try to make the corbin bags work. It is sweet, but it has less than 10k on it. who ever rode it...didn't really ride it. Average 665 miles a year? It sat. It's been gone through by my machanic though and he wanted to buy it off me so I guess it's in good shape.

Welcome willia I just joined myself. I will be posting pics this weekend. Been stuck in house 2 days straight because of this unforseen snow and ice here in Birmingham.
