Hi i have recently acquired a vf750f interceptor. It was very cheap and very noisey. The cam chain was loose. Ordered new parts. Should be running good next week! Oh also passed my bike test last month this is my first big bike. (had a suzuki gt125 before)

Congratulations on passing your bike test :clap2: and welcome to the MadHouse.

The folks on here really like photos, so if you don't want people ragging on you post up some pictures of your VFR asap. (Click the "insert image" icon and follow the prompts to select and upload photos.)

The 750 should be a great first big bike, which is stable and predictable once its underway, and is great for long runs. However until you get used to it, take care when parking and during low speed manouvers as the 750 will be a lot heavier than the 125 and they can adopt up horizontal parking mode with very little notice.

I hope you manage to get the bike is sorted soon, and can really start to enjoy your VFR during those super long summer days in Norway.

    Take care

    Aggh - trigger happy..

Are you far from the Great Belt Bridge (Storebæltsbroen)? I have a friend in Norway who keeps suggesting I MUST come visit and see this amazing road in the sky.

Quick question. Is it common for the vf motors to have loose cam chains. I noticed my tensioner is different to the magna ones. But the motors are quite different.

Bit of progress, ordered new tensioner parts (it was the original tensioner with bent rod) and managed to get the top oil pipe off my spare motor. Intresting fact, the top oil pipe that was on it was the original one that was recalled, not sure how it didnt get changed. Men men.... Also I welded up my collector box as it was more holey than the popes swiss cheese! Gave it a lot of paint and baked it on, while I was in the basement workshop (under where I live not where I work!) I got some piping and slash cut it, 3 inch long slash cut pipes straight from the collector. This will be loud!
