I`m new to the forum and new to Honda Intercepters. Right now I`ll looking at getting a 84 1000 from a co worker. The reason he is selling is because he purchased a new bike and his wife wants the old one gone. What should I look at before I purchase this old bike? The bike looks ok and the tires are fine but I have not heard it run just yet.

those can be a bit of a headache from what I hear but can make a nice bike if you put a lot of TLC into it. You want want to go dig around in the 1st and 2nd generation forums and read up on them...
