Hello VFR members, I am new to this forum, new to the VFR actually. Ive done a lot of research and this is the definatly the bike for me. I just purchased a brand new 09 model with 0km 0starts and the real shitty part is that its Winter with lots of snow, so I have never been able to test ride it. Ive read alot of reviews, watched alot of vids and boy am I excited to take er for a rip.

Im obviously new to this site, but am going to try and upload some pics. Although I havent riden the bike yet I have done some appearance mods. The 09 model came stock white and black. I design and install vinyl wraps on all makes and models including bikes, so you will see that everything that is black on the bike, I wrapped in matte black carbon fiber vinyl, which looks killer. Looking to do some more mods before its time to ride. Next one Im looking to get or create a rear fender eliminator.

Hope you enjoy the pics (if I can get them uploaded lol) Feedback good or bad is always welcome - If bad please be diplomatic about it

Congrats and welcome to the site. Good thing for pictures, or we wouldn't have believed you that it exists.

Every bike deserves a little personal touch, so good for you GMS. I like it, looks sharp. I'm not good at being diplomatic, but I think the one thing I don't like is the windscreen. Not sure why - it just seems to take some of the "classiness" away from the bike. Maybe its giving me the impression like it was "tacked on", rather than flowing with the lines of the bike?

Either way - its a sweet ride, and I'm sure you're going to love it.

Nice work from what I can see from the pix. A little too much for my preference but that is what makes us all unique. So you are not here to please my taste. Where abouts in the frozen north are you from. Who knows, If you are close enough, I just might spend some money with you rather than the paint shop.

    Welcome to the forum.

Hey Thanks everyone, I had a few people that said the same about the wind shield too, but its different than others out there, I mainly did it so it would protect it from scratches and such. The nice thing about doing vinyl is its not permanent. It can be removed without ruining whats under it. I was trying to keep it simple by just applying the vinyl to all the areas that had black paint.

I am from Ontario Randy. If your near I would be glad to help you out. I had wrapped my tank on my 78 GS750. Looked pretty stellar.

Thanks GM. That's only about 4500 km so would be a nice weekend jaunt for me. Too bad. I have some thoughts on a paint job that I think are going to be costly for me and I think vynal may be cheaper. Plus, that would likely hide a bit of the wear and tear I have on mine now.

And yeah. Some may think some of yours is more than they like but everyone to their own. Personally I like pink underwear but I seem to be alone on that one.

I'm usually not a fan of the carbon fibber stickers, but the stuff you got seems like a step up/higher class. That girl looks pretty trick man, good job  :welcome: and enjoy that brand new shiny girl you got there!

Thanks Metallican, I too was never a big fan of carbon fiber, but being in the sign industry I have access to some pretty cool material, this being one of them. When I felt the material sample a supplier had provided I thought that it was really cool stuff. The material has a texture feel, the manufacturer had embossed it so it feels kind of coreroyish if you can picture that.

The material for anyone interested is called DiNoc Carbon Fiber. There are alot of vids on youtube. Check it out, some people wrap some pretty interesting things. I had left over material so I wrapped my iphone case. Looks pretty cool
