Need New Swingarm!!!!

Hey, Well i have a 1986 Vfr 750. I want to put a new swingarm on my bike so i can fit a bigger tire in the rear, but im not sure what i can use. I want to put a single sided swingarm but like i said i dont know what i can use, Can anyone help????

 

The bigger the tire the slower the handling will be.. the bike is designed to handle and perform with the stock tires/rims.. Yes the tire size will affect the handling..

 

is there anyway that i can use a bigger tire without changing the swingarm? What is the biggest size i can use without really messing with the handling?

 

You can put 140/70-18 or 150/70-18 on the stock rear rim. slower the steering some but still ok to ride. the 150 will skrub the chain cover. But DO NOT put a 160/60-18 on a stock rear rim, it mess the handling.
DO NOT put a 120/80-16 front, it will slow the steering much! Stay whit the stock front size, 110/90-16.

 

You can fit a 170 in there if you do a CBR600F2 rear wheel conversion. Last I heard, Chuck Crites at Cobalt Racing was still making complete conversion kits
