    Dear Group Collective:
Between being Old and the roads getting Older & less maintained, I'm wondering what to do about riding. I rode over the Fairfax / Bolinas ...um....."road" (kinda) a couple weeks ago & it just kicked my ass. then later that same week, i was in a hurry & took a shortcut over the hill from the Napa Valley into Sonoma on Oakville Grade. ouch. yesterday, I went out Hicks Valley road west of Petaluma to Marshall & thought i was drivng through "craters of the moon" national monument. this shit is beating me up. my Y2K has about 30K miles on it., I have a Sargent Seat & Im wondering if I should look into a fork rebuild or a KTM with a foot of travel in the forks. anybody upgraded / tweaked the forks?
    TIA

Works Performance, or if you have pesos to spare Ohlins. Walmart has some foam pillows for about a five spot if you are really hurting.

I found a small step ladder & climbed up on one one time. you can see a long way from up there. I can't reach the ground tho.

    Friend suggests a KTM...may have a look.

i wonder if different shox will soften the ride at all. the road would bounce me around a little, but i was taking it in my shoulders more than my butt.

i guess i could slow down some.......
