    I have one that I would let go cheap, but it is one of the mystery wide tanks and I don't have the matching subframe. I know that doesn't make any sense, but it is a thing. I'm trying to gather a little more info at the moment.

    Here's where I first learned of them.

    Unfortunately, the matching subframe was recycled by the person I got the tank and parts from. I still can't explain it. That's why I had you measure your tank a while back.

    I'm gonna go thru all of my subframes and make sure I don't happen to have a wide one with a normal tank.

    klbrowz, I have 2 tanks... on the opposite ends of the spectrum;

    Tank #1 - unobtainium NOS OEM still in the box, 1986 VFR700 FII, pearl white (not cheap). I can get the p/n off the label if you're interested. Purchased many years ago when they were still available.

    Tank #2 - used OEM, unknown history, bought the bike years ago for parts and tank was included, a previous owner had started to sand it down to prep for paint, doesn't appear to be dented, kinda dull/flat dark blue-ish so I think it's from an 1987 model (cheap).

    Not sure where you're located, prefer local sale (Seattle area), shipping costs extra, i.e., not included.

    ^^ are the 700 and 750 tanks the same? I like the sound of unobtanium!! I am scatter brained on directions to go my bike. I really should just get it running....
