hi all i recently bought an 89 nc24 in average condition im going to restore it as best i can [ill post pictures later] the thing is its turning over but it will only fire when i spray easy start into the intake and would stop when the easy start burnt out . at the time i was bypassing the tank and sending petrol straight to the carbs , its sparking grand and i drained the carbs and tried again and the same keeps happening , my thaught is that the problem is between the carbs and the cylinders , also does anybody have a picture of the correct bracket that holds on the nose cone all and any help is greatly appreciated

Sounds like the carbs need to be pulled and fully cleaned. Pilot circuits may be partially/totally blocked. You can get a factory on line manual here:Honda VFR Technical Manual

Do a search for carb rebuild on this site. You'll find plenty of help.
