    Hi Guys,
I've been lurking on this forum for while now but felt like I shouldn''t post anything until I actually had my own VFR. I've been riding hondas for about 20 years, and more recently have been heavily involved in building and riding custom mopeds as part of the Mosquito Fleet here in Seattle.
Back in December I was telling my wifes cousins how my dream motorcycle has always been a red white and blue VFR750. One of them said, "Oh Don has one of those that he'd probably just give you."
Well it took 5 months and it's a 700, not a 750 but I am so unbelievably stoked to finally have it.

I'm rebuilding the carbs now but I should have it running soon! I'll probably post my progress on my blog here if you'd like to check it out.

One question I have, I've been trying to read more about the oil line mod but haven't found much info about why it is better to do the mod. Could someone throw a link my way or just explain it to me?

    thanks guys!

    -Joel

Ha, no, I started riding dirtbikes around 9 and then in college I sold my car and bought a '80 CM400. Rode that for about 5 years and got a cafe'd '76 CB200, and I've had various Puch, Sachs, Derbi and Honda mopeds.

You know the old saying about mopeds and fat chics, don't you? (For those that don't: They're both fun to ride until your friends find out). I used to have a Tomas.

My wife tried getting me into Nopeds She had a single speed SB Elite that I put in a stroker kit with variator and Honda mx expansion chamber. I had a zuma 50 that got set up with an athena 70 kit with a Derbi expansion chamber, a bit different than the typical curled around look. The Elite went from a 28 mph bike to 60. It took a carbon wrap on the frame to make it stable enough at that speed.

Just never took and she commands both scoots. A little power wheelie off the line just didn't cut it for me, she also has a pretty nice dirt bike and a VTR250.

My 86 is a 750 and in RWB

I dont think you need to mess with the oil lines on the vfr...It was the first gen VF's that had the need.
