Just completed resurrecting her. However, now she's a STifFeR. I installed panniers, heli bars, cabling and lowered foot pegs off a ST1100. And yes, that is a holy grail centerstand in perfect condition I located in AZ. Oh, I also installed a ST windshield. The heli bars allowed me to also install a Throttlemeister. I'm planning on attempting another Iron Butt 1000 on her on the 19th or 20th if the weather cooperates between here and central New Mexico. Yippy Ki Yea.

Nice job getting her back in rideable shape. How about more details regarding mileage, price, etc. I got mine for $500 and 15,000 miles.

Ok. I traded a very used Beretta 96 pistol for the bike, about $450 value. It had an electrical glitch that took 15 minutes to fix. I put new rubber on, rebuilt the forks, installed new head bearings, overhauled the master cylinders and slave cylinder, cleaned and buffed the caliper pistons. I'm all in at around $1150 as she sits. The young man had just flushed the coolant and put new sprockets and chain on board. My STifFer had 22,500 miles on the clock, now sitting just over 28K. It's such a different ride from my ST1100 and Wing. I really enjoy how light and responsive it is.

I bought a used ST1100, and after my VTR1000 and VFR800 it feels heavy and unresponsive! Still nice to ride however, and actually not slow or unresponsive. But it is heavy!
