    Hi Folks,

I've put together an alternative exhaust system that I plan to use around town, and for possible track days (future goal). Although I'm pretty far along with my plans, I always (almost :^)) find it useful to get other opinions & ideas when possible. The attached pix (imagine a custom bent mid-pipe in place of the cheap-o flex pipe) illustrate my system.

My intent is to continue being able to use the stock setup for weekend/longer rides as I like the quiet for long distances. The ST muffler may allow for some tuning, as of now I've just left all 12 plates in and the sound is nice, maybe a touch loud (I ran around with the ST clamped directly to the Cat). The weight is down by 12 - 14 lbs, & carried lower. I'll probably paint the under-tail heat shields flat black (VHT). The mid-pipe will be flat black, and the muffler a red that approximates the body red.

    So, thoughts, suggestions, opinions?

    Thx,
    Anders
