    Mount Hamilton

Mt Hamilton is another famous Bay Area ride. The road going up the mountain is extremely tight and twisty. Personally it makes me dizzy for some reason? Once at the top there is an Observatory, and they usually have daily tours.
    • Directions
    • Take I-680 to Alum Rock Road which is also called Highway 130.
    • Follow 130 all the way out until it becomes Mt Hamilton Road.
    • Follow the road up the hill to the observatory.
    • Take 130 back down the other side to the Junction.
    • From here you can take Mines Road or Del Puerto Road.

OLd post I know, but a great ride. Hit the junction at the end of Del Porto canyon and you never know what kind of bikes will show up. The observitory is a great pit stop. Oh yeah, mines road to Livermore, one of my favorites.
