Hi all. I am about to pick up my 2005 model 6th Gen. AFAIK the only mod it has is Madaz stainless slipons.

When I test rode the bike it seemed to be rather "jerky" at very slow speeds, such as going around a roundabout, or really slow cornering etc.

Can you please help out with a list of suggested mods to improve the throttle response, making it smoother etc...? Preferably a list starting from cheapest, as I'm now officially BROKE!

    TIA

Adjust the throttle freeplay to approximately 1 to 1.5mm at the grip.

When I first rode my '02 I had the same symptoms you describe. There was about 6mm of freeplay. After adjustment...nice and steady!

Thanks Rex. That's the first thing I do on any bike I buy as well. The factory freeplay seems to be ridiculous. Good to know that it'll make a difference straight away, and it's a FREE mod too.
