Hi. Does anyone know if it's possible to remove the pivot bolt from the mirror mounts on a vtec model and refit the stem and mirror onto the mounts on a 5th gen 1999 vfr? My friend has a pair of vtec mirrors that he said I could have but the mount holes are 40mm apart and mine are 50mm. Paul
I can take a look at mine, I have a 5 and 6 Gen. Or take a ride over to his place and take a look first hand. Not that we need reasons to ride, but that would be a good one!
I just did a quick check and it looks like it should work. The bolts are the same size and the opening looks the same as well. I actually went the other way round, fit the 5 Gen onto the 6 Gen mount with no problem, I assume it would work the other way too.
