So this makes me wonder, when they were building a motorcycle did they accidentally buy too many gears and couldn't return them? "Eh, screw it let's use up all the gears!"

This is me ready for today to be over so I can start vacation and my moto trip ....

Ya. Sorry. I got through like 5 pages and said fuck it I'll just post a bunch. lol. I should've been in bed a couple hours ago. 3rd shifter. Night all.

 

I wondered about that as well when I first got my bike, what you don't work on a weekend? But as it turns out it's because, well, everyone's out riding and they'd rather get the bike serviced on a weekday.

 

I've heard of some bike shops staying open and taking the Monday and Tuesday off

 

It used to be that all the bike shops in the area were open on Sundays because that's when people were needing parts to go riding/racing, and closed on Monday. The closed on Monday part is still true, but not so many are open on Sunday any more. 'Course I'm talking mostly about back in the 60's and 70's.
