Hey Nelix ... what kind of diving do you do?

I'm certified MD w/Stress & Rescue through SSI.

 

Hi Jeff, mainly dive in Barbados, I'm ACUC advanced.
Also dived in Sharm, Dominican and Tenerife.
Pic is of me on the SS Stavronika, about 140 feet at the keel.



I head to Barbados again this Sunday.

Did the Bahamas / Exumas that way. Also dove Belize, Columbia, and Mexico.

I've been dying to do Turks & Caicos.

I used to ice dive and cold water dive as well, but I no longer have my dry suit.

My gf can't dive due to ear problems, so liveaboard is out for me. I love Barbados because we can do what we want. Guy who taught me is 72 this year and still dives 6 days a week.
Bought the suunto Eon steel to replace my D6 as I was struggling to read it without a bifocal mask, which I hate.

Looking forward to trying out the Eon steel.

 

I love my Aeris Atmos ai computer ... does an amazing job with both Nitrox and conventional air.

As for mask, I use a Hydro Optix: http://www.hydrooptix.com/

My vision is perfect, but I have to wear contacts to use the mask, it changes my focal length accordingly. The result is nothing short of amazing underwater. Above water, I have to wear prescription glasses when I have the contacts in or I can't see jack shit ... lolz

Been a while since I've been though. I can't convince anyone to take a tropical vacation with me these days.

 

Cool, fellow divers. Been diving my whole life. The Cayman's, particularly Little Cayman is really special. I live 5 minutes from the beach and dive whenever the fishing is not good and seas are flat. We have some very nice drift diving here and nice wreck dives too. Do a lot of spearfishing.

 

Yes, I wear contacts too.
Will have a look at that mask when home. Right now pub is calling lol.

Let's start a new diving thread maybe ... I've been wanting to dive Florida the past few times I've been there, but there's not much I could find on the Gulf Coast until you get further down into the park ...

Yeah no real diving on the west coast. Here on the east coast from Palm beach county all the way down into the keys you have living reef. Let me know if your down in SE Fl, all I need is an excuse to bug out of work and dive.
