What would my bike be worth if I wanted to sell it. 1986 VFR750 33,xxx miles, all stock, fairings are rough but still there, clutch master needs replaced, clutch slips under a hard exceleration, good tires, seat, runs good. It sat for 2 years and when I bought it it barely ran. I cleaned the carbs and now it runs great. It is still the original Red,wht, blue bike. I am just curious what everyone thinks it should be worth. I am going to continue to fix it up and probably I will put on new aftermarket fairings on it, and replace the clutch.:blah: :blah:

It's only worth what a buyer thinks it's worth and will pay. Me? About $1k in it's current condition.

After repairs have been made w/ good rubber, chain/sprokets, tune up between $1800-$2800 depending on paint quality maybe a bit more. It will be a labor love it won't be something you plan your retirement around you'll be lucky to break even or make a couple hundred bucks by the time your done though. I've had a similar dilemma, my bike is mechanically perfect but cosmetically challanged it a great commuter I've had several offers to sell it. But know it would be worth more if I parked it for a while & put the new body panels I have for it on & get it painted. But I put on 600 miles a week commuting when I ride every day. Seems everytime I seriously consider doing it the bike needs tires or some other form of maintenance:rolleyes:

I would say 1500-2000 depending on how rough the fairings are.

I paid 3000 for mine with good shape fairings new rubber front and back, new brakes front and back, new sprocket and chain and new windshield. at 24,xxx
