There is another thread going on about raising the bars how bout we start one about lowering?

I would really like some adjustable bars that sit where my stock height is now but can be lowered for more sporting rides. I have looked at the Heli Bars but all I see there is for raising. Anyone experimented with lowering their bars and if so what are your results?

I thought the 5th gen bars were a bit tall for my taste so I went with 4th gens - turns out they are about 1/2 inch lower at the clamps and a bar diameter lower at the ends. Its a noticeable difference, I like the added control I have in the twists. Bought them for $25 off ebay. It was close to a drop in, just cut the locator tabs. EZ

SH is an option too. Have those sitting in my tool box.

Hmmm that does sound like an easy solution.

    What is the SH?

Super Hawk. I actually bought them off ebay first, but held off installing them because of some minor clearance issues.

    - I alway thought the ergos on my old 4th gen were stone cold perfect, So I decided thats what I want. The clip ons I waited (and waited), for a set to pop up for a decent price again on ebay. I got them in an over the winter auction, nobody else was bidding fortunately and I grabbed 'em. Took me a whole hour to install. - A big plus on the 4th bars is that the bar ends are a way better design too. I'm in the minority, but these bars should have been on the 5th gen in the first place.

Damn - now you have me all excited and I'm having the same problem. Can't find any on ebay. Maybe I'll post up on the 4th gen board and see if anyone swapped theirs for risers and want to get rid of them.
