Hi there! When I start riding my bike when its cold, there is a noise from the valves (I think). But when I pass 3000rpms the noise disappear. Later as the oil temperature rise, the noise disappear first between 5-6000rpm. This would tell me that there is a problem with the oilpressure? If the valves are not timed right, they would make noise all over the revs I guess?

I just changed oil and filter, 10-40 synthetic "race oil".

Probably not the oil pressure. Probably just the sound of the cam chains (it will sound like a whirring noise). The tensioners can wear and not provide as much tension as they used to. Some replace the tensioners or others just ride it as is. It won't really hurt anything.

The valves sound like a clattering... if you don't hear any when the motor is cold, then the valves are too tight.

It is 99% likely the cam chain tensioners.. I replaced them 3 times when I owned my VF750F. Easy to do . Go to your local Honda dealer and buy a Honda factory service manual as they are worth every dollar.. It has step by step details on how to change the tensioners.

DO NOT BUY CLYMER or other aftermarket manuals as sometimes the info they have listed is wrong..
