If you are serving I am respectful and say be careful. If you have served, I am appreciative, and say thank you. If you have lost a loved one in service, I will remember them, and say God Bless. On the eleventh hour, of the eleventh day, of the eleventh month, take two minutes and reflect in silence. We WIll Remember them Lest We Forget In loving memory of: William George Simpson (Veteran) Chief Petty Officer Royal Canadian Navy WWII & Beryl Isabelle Simpson (Veteran) Private Canadian Women’s Army Corps WWII Both dearly missed.
I found it kinda strange. All our TV networks carried the services in Ottawa live. Yet when I surfed over to the USA networks, none of them were carrying the service live. What's up with that? Your networks only carry news about your military when they have something controversal to suggest? Your military down there should be celebrated to the end of the earth and back again. Especially on Remembrance Day or Veterans Day as it is called in the USA. I was going to say it was a small thing but it is not. It is huge! My thoughts go out to all our Allied Military today as well.
With the lists here maybe there should be a list of folks who have served. Sure would cut some of the BS . Yes, just in case someone asks.
BB Perfect idea. Fly at it and start the thread. I think there would be quite the response. Would be nice to know what branch. Rank can be left at the door.
There probably should be a few more ground rules. IMO being a former Girl Scout doesn't count and too many claims of being Seal Team members, Rangers and other of the real badass dudes will be put in the same box as all the "fast guys". California National Guard/ USAF
