Hey everyone. I bought a brand new 05 VFR last month. I was in a slow corner this afternoon and hit a sand patch. The bike hit the ground and slid a few feet. You can imagine my pain in seeing my new baby with road rash. The front fairing, and left side fairing got most of the rash. Other things have scratches and dings but nothing bad. The front and side fairings definately need a paint job and bondo. The bike is brand new so I think that I can bondo the deep scratches and paint the body work with the stock paint code and have the paint color match. Do you think that this is the best option. Or should I put all brand new body work on. And if the latter is true where should I get the body work? Thank you soo much for your help. -Ryan
Ouch! so sorry to hear this. Hmm depends on how fussy you are. Service Honda has for the most part the best prices, ebay works too if you have the time. Then theres the paint her up too, all up to you.
Hey cueball. Sorry to hear about your mishap. I feel your pain bro. If you are good at body work and painting, then have at it with the bondo or filler putty or what ever one would use. RVFR is rigth about Service Honda having the best prices. I jsut got a mid cowl and upper left cowl for about $600 shipped. Had I gone to the local dealer, i would have paid over $800.
