I've seen some discussion, or mention rather, of wobbly kick stands being the norm on First Gen VFR's...I've got a 1984 VF500F that has one.

What's the fix? Bend it, break it off?

    Wobbly?

    Like in what way?

I can sit on my bike with my feet on the pegs while it's leaning on the kickstand and it feels fine.

You can take it in a vise and close up on the two tabs that the bolt goes through. Had to do that to mine, Still gets in the way of the shifter though.

The vise thing sounds like the best idea...but yeah it does get in the way of the shifter. Had one of these things pretty much new back in the mid 80's and don't remember the kickstand getting in the way of the shifter.

Might have to "engineer" a fix for the shifter too.....
