Hey guys, my helmet fell off my bike seat yesterday and the mounting hardware for my shiled shattered. I have been looking around on the net but haven't found where to get it yet... I'll attach a pic so you'll know what I am talking about. I have been pleased with the quality of the helmet and I like the style so I really don't want to buy a new one. Can anyone point me where to get the parts I need?

I've just had a quick look online. KBC's website doesn't seem to be very well set up, all I could find was a few press releases. Bike shop/online sellers sites seem to just have the helmets & face shields.

Maybe go to a dealer that sells them yourself & ask them?

Reg, I know you don't want to hear this and it is very technically based, but if the helmet fell onto a hard surface even from 3 ft. high it could have done damage to impact absorbing inner lining which could cause it not to give proper protection in the event of a crash. Like I said, I know it's not what you wanted to hear just my 2 cents. Take care.

Ditto Bro. Remember, only your true friends will tell you the truth. If you gotta do it then try this link - it does list a faceshield base plate set.

Well, I won't crash on that side then. jk In reality, though, I'm thinking since there was no hard surface in the helmet i.e. my skull then the impact can't be much. It's a gamble I'm willing to take anyway. I'm thinking if I crash bad enough that the mild damage I've done to the helmet would cause me to get hurt worse, I'm screwed anyway. Oh, thanks for the link. Gonna give it a try. ps I may still end up with a new lid if the guilt gets to me. I also e-mail KBC directly so maybe they'll give me the hook up.
