... from Winter Haven, Florida, where I bought a used (700 miles on it) black 2006 Honda Interceptor. It has the bags, and not only that, but the liners as well! I rode out this morning about 7:30am to trade in my 2007 Ducati ST3 and walked out the door for $7,000.00 (I still owed heavy on my Ducati as well, but right at the trade-in value). I also got the 2 year extended warranty and the Roadside Service plan that covers flats and being stranded, etc.

Rode the bike 100 miles already. I have to say the ride was smooth as silk. Very quiet unless you hit the 6400rpm mark when down shifting and passing on the high way.

I am impressed with the fit, finish, and feel of this bike. It truly feels like it's on a rail and so firmly planted. This is my first Honda, and I have been riding for over 30 years. They won me over with this bike, I have to say! Now I ust have to wash it and get the damn love bugs off it!:frusty:

    A question about settings...

I did get this bike used, and the owner's manual was not included. The dealership is next day ordering it and is going to next day ship it to me, but this being Saturday I'd like some info before this manual gets here. By the way, they're not charging me for the manual.

The guy that owned this has the front screws on the forks not matched up. I mean, one slot tilts to the left about 10 o'clock nd the right one goes to the right about 3 o'clock. As far as I know these screw slots are supposed to be lined up the same. Can I back them out all the way and start from scratch? What's the factory setting for the front on a 2006? WHat's the factory setting for the rear on the same year? Same question about the rear... should I back out that little screw to the left as far as it goes and start from there?

Any help? (Thinking about getting a Climer repair book for this bike too.)

    Hey Wabbit,
Keep in mind I've not tried the adjustment and I'm just repeating what's in my manual, but the way I read it the slots pointing in the same direction is not important. There are index marks that go around the screw adjusters and their position relative to the top nut is what is important. The owners manual indicates that the second rind from the top should be flush with the nut for the "Standard" setting.
