Hi! I just picked up a '96 VFR750 with about 23K miles on it. It seems like a rocket compared to my old Suzuki GS500! It was owned by a friend of mine who I think maintained it pretty well. The R/R (regulator/rectifier) unit is prone to failure but other than that the bike is solid and I'm sure you'll love it. Check the plastic connectors that plug into the R/R and check for signs of burning or melting. Oh and one more thing, please post your location in your profile so that we can harass you into going on group rides. It will also be helpful for us to know how far we have to ride to come and drink your beer when you need help working on your bike :biggrin: WELCOME ABOARD!!! Rollin

Just a word of advice, the mid and upper fairing connect together with a set of interlocking tabs and if you aren't very careful you can easily break the tabs especially since the plastics have become more brittle with age. My advice is that if you have any difficulty removing them try to find another 4th Gen owner that can show you how without damaging them. Parts for these older bikes are becoming increasingly difficult to find and you don't want to start off by breaking those tabs which can be difficult to repair. Rollin
