I got my '98 VFR800i yesterday and can't quit smiling. Feeling more complete.
I have a question regarding cooling. My temperature got up to 104 C. What is running temperature range for my year bike and do fans standardly kick in at 100C?

You should see from many posts here that sometimes thermostats stick either open or closed........

The thermoswitch that turns on fan commonly fails too, but a manual switch can easily and cheaply replace it.

IF your temperature creeps up too far, GET MOVING, and get cool air flowing through radiator core. Stuck in traffic, swometimes best to turn off engine.
